I’m glad you are here as you search for a solution for your anxiety, emotional or physical pain. I know there is a possibility for you to have greater wellness and ease in your life.
My practice is informed by my training as a nurse, my life experiences and my extensive training in a variety of somatic therapies.
When I graduated from nursing school. I find now that the things I was taught are incorporated into my practice today. The healing power of presence as necessary for healing and wellbeing. That presence could be non-verbal and physical through eye contact, silence or somatic co-regulating touch. These are essential elements for your wellbeing on your pathway to physical, emotional, social, and interpersonal health.

From overwhelm to ease
I began my career working at a women’s clinic, then transitioned to direct in-patient adult and youth mental health care in a psychiatric hospital. I worked adults and youth experiencing acute mental illness, trauma, eating disorders, and head injuries.
At the same time, I was navigating overwhelming life events.
I was scared to go to work and ashamed to let anyone know how anxious I felt; I was stuck. As events stacked on top of each other over time, I started experiencing chronic pain, symptoms of PTSD and shutdown.
After I experienced a workplace assault. I took an extended break from healthcare.
My journey of discovery and healing began years before. As my background was in talk therapy that is where I began my journey.
Later, A friend and colleague introduced me to a movement practice called Feldenkrais and a training in somatic trauma therapy.
I was instantly hooked and began my training in the Somatic Trauma Therapy in 2011. In one of our first sessions we read “Waking the Tiger’ and “In an Unspoken Voice.” authored by Dr Peter Levine one of the pioneers in trauma resolution and the originator of Somatic Experiencing.

Together we find the right path to healing. Grounded in compassion, science, and a touch of the unknown. As a healer, I continually upgrade my skills to support your pathway to healing. An integrative and comprehensive approach unique to your needs and journey.
I look forward to hearing from you
